SEASONAL CELEBRATION

Variety of events, activities to be held today

The Mt. Pleasant Christmas Celebration continues with a variety of different events and activities today. The events include:

• The Jingle All-the-way Kids Fun Run, 5K and 5 Mile Run starting at Max & Emily’s. Races will begin at 7:50, 8:25 and 8:30 a.m. Registration must be completed online and proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots.

• From 9 a.m. to noon, a pancake breakfast with Santa will occur at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Admission is $7 per person and children under four are $5.

• At 6 p.m., the lighted parade will be traveling through the streets of downtown. Essential/frontline workers will be this year’s Parade Grand Marshal.

• Fireworks can be viewed from downtown after the parade.
