Wrapping up another calendar year of bowling

-

The Saturday Youth league pizza/awards party were held in November to celebrate the end of the first 10-week league youth session.

Youth bowling is taking a break now until the start of the second 10-week league session on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m.. That’s also an excellent time for additional youth bowlers to join in the fun!

Bring in complete trio teams or join existing teams! Call Dave Lewis at 989-560-8009 or Becky at 989-506-6299 for information and to sign-up youth bowlers for the final 10-week session!

High School bowling

Most Michigan high schools begin their bowling season this week. Find out where abd when and “Go root them on!”

Mid-michigan area tournament bowlers

Local teams have entered the MS USBC Open tournament in Livonia/westland for Feb. 5-6. I’ve contacted bowlers involved and will collect any remaining tournament fees. If you haven’t been contacted, but are still interested in joining us, there may be a couple spots that remain open.

League officers: Remind your bowlers of City Tournament dates: All city tournament bowling will be, of course, at Riverwood Lanes, using the week of CMU’S spring break.

Please remember to adjust your league schedule to allow for the MP USBC City Tournament week from Tuesday, March 8 through Friday, March 11. team event: Tuesday and Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. S&D event: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, also starting at 6:30 p.m. (Some S&D may also bowl on Wednesday.) Regular evening league bowling won’t be scheduled Tuesday through Friday that week.

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone… Including my current sponsors —

Tim Macgregor of C&O Sportswear and Joe Byrne of AJ’S Tax Consultants — thanks for sponsoring the entire AJ’S Tax Trio Draft league! Also, thanks to the MP USBC board and league officers of Usbc-certified

leagues. They ALL contribute to the success of leagues and that makes my association manager job easier!

See you “on the lanes” at Riverwood Lanes during the 2021-2022 season.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy. Mid-michigan finds their bowling needs at Riverwood, Gateway, & Pins!
