Warner, Georgia Clendening, age 97, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away November 23, 2021, at Maplewood of Mt. Pleasant. Burial has taken place in Highland Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan. A celebratio­n of Georgia’s life will be held at a later date. Georgia was born on November 25, 1923, the daughter of Ervin Clendening and Anna Jane (Ringwald) Clendening in Gladwin. She married Richard Allen Warner on June 15, 1947. Georgia earned a master’s degree in education and worked as a teacher for over 20 years. Upon their retirement in Michigan, she and her husband, Dick, moved to Fiji for three years before moving back to Michigan. She enjoyed music, reading, traveling and her home was a gathering place for family and friends. Georgia was very involved with her church in the different locations where they lived. She was a member of the Weidman United Methodist Church and a former member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Remus. Georgia is survived by her children: Maryann (Dan) Mcdonald of West Richland, Wash., Marty (Janet) Warner of Cadillac and Thomas (Kathy) Warner of Lansing; 6 grandchild­ren, 5 greatgrand­children; sister: Marylyn Krueger of North Carolina. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Robert, Byron
