Arts council gets multiple grants
CCAC awarded two $675 grants from state cultural organization, endowment
Clare County Arts Council has been awarded a grant of $675 from the State of Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) and $675 from National Endowment for the Arts.
The funds were awarded through the MCACA peer review process and was one of 594 applications to compete for MCACA fiscal year 2022 funding.
Organizations receiving a MCACA grant award are required to match those funds with other public and private dollars.
Local support of the project included Clare Downtown Development Authority, Consumer Energy, Samm Sharp, Ken Hibl, Marita and Randy Schiffman, Cops & Donuts, Buccilli’s Pizza, Kim and Tom Kleinhardt, Devil’s Rope Studio, Friends of Clare Parks and Recreation, Clare Rotary Club, Tom and Janet Kunse, Dr. Brian & Ruby Benchley, Dr. Tom and Marsha Claringbold, Isabella Bank, Clare Primary 4th graders, Jay’s Sporting Goods, My
Michigan Health, Members First Credit Union, Justin & Courtney Cole, and Pam O’laughlin.
The MCACA peer review process allows for each grant application to be competitively considered by a panel of instate and out-of-state arts and culture professionals.
