- By Eric Baerren ebaerren@medianewsgroup.com

Fire officials are saying that a fire that gutted a home on Rosebush’s South Street remains under investigation.

Firefighters from the Isabella Northeast Fire District were called to the fire at approximately 4:40 p.m. Monday, said Rob Evans, Isabella Northeast assistant fire chief. It took the fire department approximately one hour to knock the fire down and another three to mop up their work.

No one was injured during the fire, Evans said. It is unknown how many people were in the house, it’s also believed that there were no animal fatalities.

There were also no traffic interruptions on nearby Mission Street.

The Isabella Northeast Fire District was assisted on the scene by the Nottawasherman Fire Department, the Clare city fire department and Mobile Medical Rescue, Evans said. Approximately 20 firefighters from the three departments were on scene.
