Shepherd Schools extends virtual learning
Citing the continued spread of several illnesses, Shepherd Schools announced Thursday that it would extend virtual learning in the district until Tuesday.
“As a constant review of our data and due to the continuation of reported cases of illnesses Influenza A, Strep Throat, Adenovirus, RSV and COVID-19 Shepherd Public Schools will remain in virtual/distance learning at least through Tuesday, January 25th,” said a message from school officials. “As next week begins there will be a clearer picture of available staff and student wellness to gauge our soonest possible date to return to inperson learning.”
Athletic events, including practices, start back up Monday.
The district originally transitioned to virtual learning for this week, citing staff and student illnesses.
