REED, IRENE G.

Irene G. Reed, age 101 of Alma, Michigan passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Masonic Pathways. She was born September 18, 1920, in Muskegon, Michigan the daughter of Carl J. and Theresa “Tessie” (Gilbert) Peterson. Irene married Randall B. Reed on March 30, 1940, in St. Louis, Michigan a blessed union of 55 years, until his passing in 1995. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Irene was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She had a great love of all crafts, especially cross stitching and working with beads. Irene also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Irene is survived by a daughter, Nancy Reed of Dallas, TX; a sister, Shirley Frederick of Alma; a sister-in-law, Eileen Lentz of Fort Meyers, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Randall; a daughter, Barbara Jane Busalacchi; a granddaughter, Christine Busalacchi; and her siblings, Carl L. Peterson, Mildred Britten and Marguerite Fischer. Cremation has taken place with services to be held at a later date. Interment will be in Oakgrove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan.
