Chamber welcomes new president
Liz Conway joins Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce, will also lead in CEO capacity
Liz Conway has joined the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce as president and CEO.
Conway will lead the organization towards fulfilling its mission of Inspiring, Growing, Networking, Innovating, Transforming and Engaging the community.
“The Board and I are thrilled to welcome Liz Conway as the new President and CEO of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. Her experience will help us to strengthen the Chamber and positively impact our community. We look forward to the fresh perspective Liz will bring to the Chamber and its Membership,” said Chair Bart Blystone, CPA.
With over 20 years of nonprofit and managerial experience, Conway has developed a sharp eye for relationship building, organizational management, strategic planning, and communications.
“Liz is a dynamic leader and dedicated community member,” said Vice-chair Amanda Schafer. “She is just what the Chamber needs to develop and execute our next strategic plan.”
Other roles that Conway has held include the Director of Membership and Underwriting at WCMU
Public Media and the Executive Director of the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum. Conway is excited to work with our local businesses to build a strong and vibrant community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University.
