Alma police investigating rash of larcenies
Alma police are investigating a rash of larcenies from vehicles that took place early Tuesday morning.
Thus far, 11 thefts have been reported with most taking place in the area of Moyer and Allen streets on the city’s south side, although “a couple were reported on the north side” of town, according to Chief Kendra Overla.
Random items were taken from the vehicles, including purses and money, she added. None of the vehicles were damaged and it “appears all were unlocked,” Overla said.
Police are “working on some leads” regarding possible suspects, she noted.
Anyone who may have information about the larcenies can call the Alma Police Department at 989463-8317 or the Gratiot County Central Dispatch non-emergency number at 989-875-7505.
