KERR, KARMEN LEA
Karmen Lea Kerr, age 56 of St. Louis passed away Saturday, June
4, 2022, at Mymichigan Medical Center Alma. She was born April 6, 1966, in Alma the daughter of Larry and Valerie (Tomlin) Kerr. Karmen grew up on a dairy farm with her two sisters developing a strong love of animals and an incredible work ethic early in life. As a
child and teen, she was active in Gratiot County 4-H, showing a variety of animals and photograwith 4-H/LABO Exchange to Japan at 14 years old. Karmen was a 1984 graduate of Alma High School and earned her Science and Business Administration Degree from Central Michigan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She worked for several years in the Mortgage Department at Bank of Alma and spent 10 years as the Senior Treasury Analyst for Dow Corning. Karmen served as Seville Township Treasurer for 8 years. Karmen loved She enjoyed hunting with her father and son, as ! was an avid reader and lover of all music, playing both piano and guitar. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene, being active in " sion to show and teach Christ’s love to children. Being with family was her greatest joy. Karmen will be remembered for her giving heart and always being ready to help those in need. Karmen is survived by her mother, Valerie Kerr; her only child, Kory (Josie) Dancer; four grandchildren, Lexus, Livia, Erik, Ian Dancer; two sisters, Kerry Kerr Mcavoy and Kristin (Ron) King; nieces and nephews, Chelsea (Ronan & Lennon), Ramsey, Cameron, Devon and Kellin; three step-children, Zach (Sarah), Michele, Todd; and her step-grandchildren, Sidney and Jaxson. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Kerr and a brother-in-law, Bradley Mcavoy. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 11 am at the Oasis Community ! # $ % & Private family interment will be held at Brady Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8th from 3 to 7 pm at Lux-moody-wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
