Tally’s Bar & Grill opens at The Pines Golf Course
In the Pines and at the Pines. Good golf and good food. The Pines Golf Course at Lake Isabella opened its new restaurant — Tally’s Bar & Grill — earlier this month after a couple years worth of renovation.
Tally’s Bar & Grill Menu here The dining room is open to the public daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. while the bar and lounge are open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mt. Pleasant’s Figg family bought The Pines Golf Course about two and one-half years ago and has completely renovated the facilities from the course to the Pro Shop to the new restaurant itself.
This restaurant renovation includes a new walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer as well as an expansion of the kitchen itself, which features new cooking equipment from the chargrill to the flat top to the deep fryer. The kitchen is also laidout efficiently, which is key to any good working kitchen.
In short the new kitchen is impressive as is the food. Chef Grey Manley put the locally-sourced menu together and prides himself on serving up delicious food.
“It’s important to us that a lot of our produce comes locally, especially with all the farming communities that surround us,” said Manley. “I’d call our menu Contemporary American. It is traditional cuisine done the correct way, from scratch.”
All the sauces and dressings are made from scratch in-house.
The menu itself is wideranging, serving up everything from traditional fare such as burgers and wraps and sandwiches and pasta to seafood and BBQ. Tally’s Bar & Grill also has a smoker on site which it uses daily for dishes like its smoked chicken dinner and smoked meat loaf.
The restaurant will be open year-round.
