ROCKAFELLOW, KAREN JEAN

Karen Jean Rockafellow; age 82 of Ithaca, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Rosebush Manor with family by her side. Karen was born February 8, 1941 the daughter of Otto and Thelma (Mcconnell) Carroll. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, going to the casino, and was a Sudoku master. She was a Pit Boss at the Soaring Eagle casino for 10 years and before that managed The Ranch House restaurant for many years. Karen is survived by 2 daughters Peyton Tammy Birmingham of Orlando and Terri (Steven) Anstett of Manton; 13 grandchildren Jessica (Patrick) Emerson, Josephine (Tom) Fredricks, Arron Eichorn, Jeremiah (Sarah) Gaudette, Adam (Brenda) Eichorn, Kenneth Bickham, Lucas (Kayla) Anstett, Jordan (Ashley) Gaudette, Brian (Iris) Bickham, Joseph (Jenn) Eichorn, Katie Hayter, Lisa (Justin) Stackling, and Isaiah Gaudette; 23 great grandchildren; 7 siblings Eilene (Ken) Buehler of Dacula, GA, Gloria Stevens of Circleville, OH, Russell Carroll of Corbin, KY, Pamela (Paul) Blevins of Ypsilanti, Collette (Brian) Oele of Newago, Ric Carroll of Perrington, and Diana (Keith) Kushion of Prudenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen is preceded by both her parents; twin daughters Debra Ann Marshall and Denise Kay Ramsey; siblings Marietta, Jerry, and Dennis Carroll; and infant brother Larry. Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 6 at 1 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd with Reverend Bill Chu officiating. There will be visitation from noon until time of service.
