Steven Wayne Stahlman age 62 of Shepherd passed away at his home on Saturday March 23, 2024, he was born April 11, 1961 in Carson City to Roger and Patricia Stahlman. He is survived by his son Andrew and his wife Amanda Stahlman of Texas. His former wife Alison Mcconnelll-stahlman also of Texas, father Roger Stahlman and niece Rachel Perry-karr and her husband David Karr both of Shepherd. Preceded in death by his mother Patricia Stahlman, sister Della Perry, Grandmothe­r Lillian Stahlman, Grandfathe­r Clayton Stahlman and nephew Ryan Perry.steven was lifelong resident of Shepherd nearly all his life. Steven’s great-great grandmothe­r (Della Parker) was one of the founding families of Shepherd, MI. Steven’s great grandfathe­r (Stanley Stahlman) owned one of the first diners in Shepherd and a farm (est. 1911). Steven’s grandfathe­r (Clayton Stahlman) owned a pine tree nursery in Shepherd for many years (est. 1949), and now is still owned by the Stahlman family. Steven’s father (Roger Stahlman) has owned the original Parker farm since 1956. Steven lived on this farm (est. 1852) up until his death. Steven fell in love with playing guitar when he was only 12 years old and he played locally in music bands for over 40 years. Steven was a rocker & roller. Steven faced his illness with courage and strength. Steven’s circle was small and he was a very private man. One thing is for sure, Steven loved those in his circle, and he loved them dearly. Special thank you to his lifelong friends, and also his work friends with whom he considered family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
