cartechbooks.com Make room on your shelf for one more Mustang history book, as this one is told from a unique perspective: the viewpoint of Ford designer Gale Halderman. His July 1962 sketch became the basis for the first Mustang. The book is packed with a lot of insider info, plus sketches (from Halderman and others) and design studio photos illustrating the clay models and mockups that formed the car’s evolution. Halderman’s work didn’t stop with the first Mustang, either; he also rendered the shape that would become the second-gen Mustang fastback.
