He was charged with several felonies, including possession of cocaine base for sale, selling controlled substances and possession of a weapon. According to cops, Ruiz was headed to the airport at the time of the raid and planned to flee to Australia — where Cher was on tour!
The “Turn Back Time” singer was shocked by news of the raid, which came shortly after Cher had been dragged into another drug scandal.
In a shocker, a concerned member of Cher’s inner circle claimed a flunky was keeping the superstar singer “doped up on a bunch of pills,” and that Cher had fallen “under the spell” of the person. Cher’s rep denied the charge, but in a text to a pal, the tattletale wrote the leech “ladles pills down her throat. [Cher] doesn’t know what she’s taking. I’m sick of this s--t being hid.”
