WIZARD WITH A WHEELCHAIR!

AMAZING ATHLETE SETS GUINNESS RECORDS

-

UNSTOPPABLE Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham soared into history by setting three extreme sporting records — despite being wheelchair-bound for nearly 20 years!

The 27-year-old from Las Vegas,

Nev., said, “When I was a kid, I dreamed about being a pro skater or a pro BMX rider, I just loved watching X Games. I was born with spinal bifida, and it gave me a different set of wheels to try and make it happen.

“First time I ever dropped into a skate park, I was eight years old. From that point, I was completely hooked.” Using a customized chair, Aaron has performed eyepopping stunts since he was a teen — and even earned a spot in the Nitro Circus Live tour, an action sports road show.

And in early November, he broke three Guinness

World Records for farthest wheelchair ramp jump at 70 feet 0.5 inches, and tallest quarter pipe drop-in on a wheelchair and highest wheelchair hand plant at 27 feet 6.7 inches each!

“I’m going to show people that a wheelchair is a bit more than just a medical device.

It’s actually a tool to help you succeed,” said the fearless daredevil.

And that’s how this incredible athlete leapt onto this week’s Odd List!
