CASEY KASEM MURDER PROBE EXPLODES!

National Enquirer - - FIRST TO KNOW - NE

DIG up Casey Kasem! That’s the desperate plea made by close friends and family members of America’s most beloved radio DJ — who believe his 2014 death was due to foul play! Now police have reopened the investigation into the 82-year-old’s demise, reigniting the ugly feud that has raged since his children accused his much-younger wife, Jean, of abusing Casey in his final days.

“Jean murdered my father!” charged Casey’s daughter Kerri Kasem. “What she did led to his death!”

But Jean — an actress best known for her role as ditzy Loretta Tortelli on “Cheers” — has blamed Casey’s three children from his first wife for his death.

“THEY killed my husband!” Jean charged. “They killed their father!”

Jean, 64, took Casey from his Santa Monica nursing home in May 2014 and whisked him away to a friend’s home in Silverdale, Wash.

Just weeks later, the “American Top 40” radio host expired at a nearby hospital from sepsis, UTI and staph. Kerri has also charged that Jean carted her father’s

body off to Norway to be buried without his family’s knowledge or consent — and refused to have it embalmed to cover up her alleged abuses!

“She didn’t want to have his body preserved!” cried Kerri, who’s since founded the Kasem Cares Foundation to fight for access to an ailing parent when under the care of an uncooperative spouse or sibling.

But Jean has claimed she took Casey to

Washington to “protect him” from his family who wanted to take him off life support.

Despite that, one top investigator questioned Jean’s motives.

“Why would his wife move him out of a medical facility and into a house?” said New York private detective Vincent Parco.

“And why haul his body off to Norway to be buried unless she had something to hide? “They’re definitely going to target the wife if there are any signs of homicide on the exhumed body.”

Despite those questions, Jean was the one who shockingly pressured cops to reopen the investigation! Kerri, her brother, Mike, and sister, Julie, filed a wrongful death suit against Jean, who countersued — with both sides citing “cruelty and neglect.”

“The only thing she ever wanted from my dad was his money,” Kerri claimed.

Casey’s estate was worth between $80 million and

$100 million when he died, and Jean retained legal rights over his remains. That allowed her to bury Casey’s body in Oslo.

“It is as if all this woman cares about is keeping his body from his children,” investigator Logan Clarke told The ENQUIRER.

Now Kerri is determined to have her father’s body exhumed to prove Jean’s abuse caused his death.

“I still plan to bury my father in Los Angeles where he wanted to be buried ... I have not given up!” Kerri told The ENQUIRER.
