IT WAS a promise worth keeping!

More than 20 years ago, Matt Grodsky made a vow in front of his preschool class that he would marry classmate Laura Scheel — and he wasn’t lying! “Laura and I met in preschool. One of my very first memories is of being three years old and standing up in front of my preschool class, declaring that I would marry her someday,” Matt recalled, revealing he kept his word and got down on one knee in 2015! The now married couple lost touch when they went off to attend different elementary schools — only to reunite, by chance, in high school! “Our families’ annual Christmas cards was the only way we ever saw each other’s faces,” Matt said. “It wasn’t until high school that we reconnected by happenstance through a mutual friend.” Despite attending different schools, the two started seeing each other, and continued to date for years — until Matt popped the question. “I proposed to her at the place it all began … our preschool,” he said.
