WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE MILKSHAKE IS CREAM OF CROP!
NEW York City is synonymous with astronomical prices — but this is ridiculous. Say hello to the $100 milkshake!
Patrons of a trendy Manhattan eatery named Serendipity 3 are ponying up a C-note for a pricey sip of what has been officially designated The World’s Most Expensive Shake by Guinness World Records.
The shake’s ingredients include milk from cattle bred in the Channel Islands off the coast of France; ice cream infused with slow-grown, sun-cured vanilla beans; rich flavor from the beans of a Madagascar vanilla plant; and — to top it off — 23-karat, edible gold “sprinkles.”
And if that’s not opulent enough for your expensive tastes, the dessert is served in a glass adorned with more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals.
“It was exciting to develop such a unique recipe, and I hope our customers enjoy every drop of this creamy, rich milkshake,” said chef Joe Calderone of the dessert.
The Luxe Milkshake is the seventh record-breaking creation that Serendipity 3 has dreamed up. The restaurant also holds the title for Most Expensive Sandwich,
Most Expensive Hamburger, Most Expensive Dessert, Most Expensive Hot Dog, Largest Wedding Cake and Largest
Cup of Hot Chocolate.
The question is how can anybody afford to eat there? And that’s how this crazy shake spilled its way to the top of this week’s Odd List!
