SHATTERED PAT BOONE PRAYS TO JOIN WIFE IN DEATH

DEVASTATED ’50s teen idol Pat Boone has lost the will to live after his wife, Shirley, passed away at 84 on Jan. 11.

“Pat was completely crushed,” said a source close to the 84-year-old singer. “I don’t think he could imagine going on living without her.”

The couple fell in love at first sight at David Lipscomb High School in Nashville. They then married in November 1953 — when they were both just 19 years old!

“We’ve had four daughters, 16 grandkids and ten greatgrandkids together!” Pat told The National ENQUIRER. “I not only lost my wife — I lost my best friend. We’ll be reunited one day.

“When I die, my ashes will join hers and they’ll be planted with some seed at the

Boone Center for the

Family at Pepperdine University.”
