FROZEN-faced Ellen DeGeneres has gone overboard with cosmetic touch-ups, friends fear — in a botched bid to shore up her dicey marriage to 46-year-old Portia de Rossi!
The talk show queen, 61, has grown insecure over the couple’s 15-year age gap, according to insiders, and resorted to a rapidfire succession of treatments! “Ellen can’t stand being referred to as ‘the older one’ in her marriage to Portia!” tattled a source. “Her fixes were minimal at first — an injection here and there, plus some tightening — and she loved the results.
“But now she’s going back for more procedures every few weeks. She’s starting to look like a giant puffball!”
A top cosmetic surgeon believes Ellen has undergone a major overhaul!
“She most likely had a face-lift and neck-lift, probably Botox also,” Boston-based Dr. Dave E. David, who has not treated Ellen, told The National ENQUIRER. Ellen’s issues with Portia came to a head about a year ago, with the two squabbling about everything from having children, Ellen’s all-consuming career and the constant moving and houseflipping, sources said.
“Their marriage was hanging by a thread and they were leading separate lives,” blabbed an insider. “But the more Ellen worked on the marriage, the more she aged on the outside. When Ellen’s stressed, she frowns a lot and her face gets an overall pinched look.
“Now her attempts to look sexier seem to have backfired!”
