INSURANCE FIGHT OVER NOAH’S ARK! WATER DAMAGE NOT COVERED
THE owners of Noah’s Ark are suing their insurers over water damage! After heavy rains wrecked a Kentucky theme park that’s home to a replica of the biblical boat, the attraction’s proprietors demanded their insurance carriers bail them out by forking over $1 million for repairs.
But the companies didn’t answer their prayers!
That’s when the Ark Encounter in Williamstown
filed a federal lawsuit.
Though it didn’t rain for 40 days and 40 nights, court documents claim flooding and storms caused a catastrophic landslide on an access road and structural support damage near the 510-foot wooden vessel — and insisted the insurers should be on the hook.
But according to the documents, the companies are refusing to cover most of the bill because they believe “faulty design” is to blame! Defendants have yet to respond to the lawsuit in court filings.
And that’s how this soggy squabble floated onto this week’s Odd List!
