JUDY MOVIE SPURS RELAPSE FEARS FOR LIZA!

BIG-SCREEN DOWNER COVERS ADDICTED ICON’S FINAL DAYS

-

LIZA MINNELLI is sweating bullets over the release of a no-holds-barred biopic about her iconic mom, Judy Garland — and pals are terrified it may send the troubled entertainer spiraling into a relapse! “Judy,” starring Renée Zellwegger, focuses on the dark final year of the tortured “Wizard of Oz” star, who died in 1969 at 47 of an overdose after nearly two decades battling addiction.

“Liza’s convinced this movie is going to be another hatchet job and she can’t take it,” the source spilled. “It’s eating her up!”

Liza, 73, has her own history of being haunted by drug demons, with multiple stays in rehab — including as recently as 2015.

A friend revealed to The National ENQUIRER that while Liza, who didn’t respond to a request for comment, battles daily to stay on the straight and narrow, stress is a trigger. “There is nothing nearer or dearer to Liza’s heart than the memory and the legacy of her mother,” the insider snitched. “If it’s trashed again, it could send her right over the edge.” Renée said she tried in vain to meet with Liza, and that her “intentions were to celebrate and adore” Judy.

But that’s cold comfort to Liza, who remains suspicious of projects where she doesn’t have creative control.

She even had her mom’s remains moved in 2017 from New York to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery so they could remain close!

“Liza is afraid of seeing the film,” the source said.

“She watches her sobriety carefully and doesn’t want to fall back to square one again!”
