MORE A-LIST PARENTS FEAR THE FEDS COMING AFTER THEM!
IT’S worse than anyone knows! The FBI’s Operation
Varsity Blues has sparked a “whodunit” witch hunt in Hollywood that has left some celebrity parents suspected by their peers, who fear the worst!
The National ENQUIRER has learned that at least TWO new A-list stars have been named in privileged circles for alleged involvement in the college admissions scandal.
One is a wildly popular movie star, and the other is a household name in TV.
While neither has been charged, rumors are swirling that the superstars and their spouses may be forced to call in lawyers to clear their name before things spiral out of control.
“They could be guilty by association for knowing some of those people involved, or they might have gotten their hands dirty somehow,” an insider speculated. As ENQUIRER readers know, “Desperate Housewives” alum Felicity Huffman, 56, tearfully pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges in May, admitting she paid a fixer $15,000 to rig daughter Sophia Grace Macy’s SAT score, which could get the actress four months behind bars.
She’ll discover her fate on Sept. 13, and a source said she’s prepared to serve time. But Lori Loughlin, 55, and her fashion designer husband, 56-year-old Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty in April to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud — and were later hit with money laundering charges!
The couple — accused of forking over $500,000 to get their dunce daughters into USC — will each roll the dice at a criminal trial. Lori and Mossimo’s defense teams are due back in court on Oct. 2 for pre-trial status conferences.
Meanwhile, scam mastermind William “Rick” Singer, who pleaded guilty and immediately turned canary, will be sentenced on Sept. 19. Prosecutors plan to recommend he serve about five years — instead of nearly 20.
