THREE months after being busted for underage boozing, the 19-year-old daughter of Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond shipped herself off to a Christian summer camp that once employed a child-molesting pervert! On April 12, Paige Drummond — the Food Network star’s second oldest of four children — was arrested in Oklahoma for underage drinking and public intoxication.
But a district attorney dismissed both counts, which were erased from her record after the tippling teenager paid more than $400 in court fees.
But on the heels of the shocking scandal, Paige fled her hometown last month to work for four weeks at Kanakuk Kamps in Missouri.
The sleepover summer camp claims its aim is to develop “dynamic Christian leaders through lifechanging experiences, Godly relationships and spiritual training.”
But The National ENQUIRER can reveal that former camp official Peter D. Newman was convicted in 2010 for molesting multiple underage male campers — and, according to his arrest warrant, lured innocent teenagers to his home for one-on-one Bible studies in his hot tub!
The sex creep, now 43 years old, was hit with two life terms, plus 30 years, and said at his sentencing: “I imagine I am the worst thing that has ever happened to Kanakuk.”
Newman worked at the summer camp from 1999 to 2009, and his revolting crimes reportedly took place between 2005 and 2008.
But the getaway spot’s sordid past doesn’t seem to bother perky Paige, who gushed on Instagram that she was “filled with so much joy and so much excitement” about her temporary gig.
