Football’s greatest quarterback revealed he realized was driving his family away in his crazed quest for NFL perfection and reversed field after his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, threw a penalty flag on him, “She actually wrote me a letter,” Tom admitted. “She wasn’t satisfied with our marriage. So, I needed to make a change.”
The 42-year-old former University of Michigan signal caller said the Brazilian beauty, 39, made it clear she and their kids — Vivian, 7, and Benjamin, 10, and his 12-year-old son, John, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan — were finishing a poor second to his career!
“She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house, and then all the sudden when the season would end, that
I’d be like, ‘Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Let me get into my football training.’
“And she’s sitting there going, ‘Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?’”
Added Brady, “She didn’t feel I was doing my part for the family.” That’s when the former New England Patriots star decided to put his home team — meaning his family — above his career!
“I had to make a big
transition in my life to say that I can’t do all the things I wanted to do for life for football the way I used to. I’ve got to take care of things in my family.”
He even made the decision to start skipping pre-season practices to ensure all of his free time was spent with Gisele and the kids.
Insiders also said his choice to leave New England, where he had won six Super Bowl championships, and sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was more about family than football.
“Let’s face it, the Bucs are not even in the same league as the Patriots!” a source spilled. “Gisele never liked the New England winters, and Tom made sure to set them up in incredible accommodations!” He even hooked up with another sports legend — former New York Yankee
Derek Jeter — to provide them with a Hall of Fame home!
“He rented Derek’s incredible Tampa mansion, which will be the kids’ personal ShangriLa!” the insider snitched. Insiders said Tom is committed to being a better teammate around the house. “He’s doing chores and helping the kids with their homework,” the source said. “It’s a much happier environment!”
