MONEYBAGS Brad Pitt is blowing big bucks on building a string of dream houses, and sources said his spendthrift ways are making ex Angelina Jolie blow her top!
Spies exclusively spilled to The National ENQUIRER that Brad, 56, is planning to spend as much as $100 million on projects he hopes will provide for his future and that of the six kids he shares with Angie. “He wants to add a couple of mini-properties onto the compound in L.A. and also wants to build a lake house in Missouri, near his parents’ place, which the kids will inherit one day,” said a source.
But according to an insider, Angie is hemorrhaging cash and wants money now!
“She doesn’t want to wait 20 years until Brad’s vanity projects bear fruit!”
Though the “Maleficent” witch’s net worth has been reported at a whopping $100 million, insiders said much of that is tied up retirement savings and her legal bills are mounting in her seemingly endless divorce squabbles with Brad!
As The ENQUIRER has exclusively reported, the actress, 44, reluctantly turned the kids over to their dad in August to fulfill work commitments and replenish her diminishing reserves! “She switched it at the last minute because she didn’t want him to go to the U.K., which she considers her territory!” dished the insider. Angie has been showering money on her lawyers throughout the couple’s fight, the source said, and Brad doesn’t want to help finance her ongoing legal assault. “Angie figures it is only reasonable that Brad help her out, since ... she believes it’s his fault the family split up in the first place,” the insider snitched.
Still, the “Fight Club” hunk is undeterred by his ex’s money woes, sources spilled.
“Brad argues he’s been bailing her out and bankrolling her lifestyle for more than five years!”
But Jolie is spitting blood over his free-spending ways, it is claimed.
“She says it’s a waste of money that could be set aside for the kids’ college funds as well as their day-to-day living,” snitched an insider. “He’s going ahead with it and doesn’t care what Angelina thinks.”
