ROYAL runaway Prince Harry exploded with rage, swearing he’ll NEVER return to Britain in a screaming showdown with his fedup big brother, William, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
The ugly confrontation erupted after future king William demanded Harry fly back as a surprise for their grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s 94th birthday on April 21 — and he flat-out refused!
“It was Harry at his hotheaded best,” a high-level palace courtier revealed in a world exclusive.
“He said William had to be kidding, that the royals had treated him and his wife, Meghan, so badly, there was no way he was setting foot on British soil ever again!
“I’m told William desperately begged Harry to stop putting Meghan’s wishes over his duty to Her Majesty and the country, especially during the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. “But Harry wouldn’t listen. He snapped back that the royals had all hurt him and his family — and he was never going to allow it to happen again.
“His life was with Meghan and baby Archie — as far from the royals as they could get. He told William to butt out of their lives and never contact them again! ‘I’m NEVER going back — WE’RE never coming back!’ he yelled, then told his brother, ‘We’re quits forever!’ ”
William was stunned by Harry’s savage rant, according to the courtier, who said he called his kid brother “‘a bloody henpecked wimp’ ” and launched an astonishing attack of his own! “We hear he mocked Harry for claiming he was ditching royal duties for privacy while blasting Meghan as a shameless publicity hound who craves the spotlight and is dragging Harry with her,” the courtier claimed.
“At the end of the day, William insisted they were no better than reality TV stars trading access for cash!”
The vicious verbal brawl was the moment of truth for the once-inseparable brothers — proof their “bitter rift is too deep to heal,” another palace insider told The ENQUIRER.
The cruel birthday snub by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hurt the queen, who is dying of heart failure and may have only months to live, said the insider.
“Harry is her favorite grandchild, and his split with the royal family has left her heartbroken,” said the insider. “She was in tears when she learned of Harry’s rejection. After all, how many more birthdays will she have?”
Her Majesty bent over backwards to help Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, quit their royal duties, but it wasn’t enough, palace aides charged. “I don’t think Meghan will ever forgive the queen for stripping them of their
