KELLY & RYAN: IT’S OVER!

WHAT’S MAKING HIM QUIT

- Kelly Ripa, Ryan Seacrest and “Live with Kelly and Ryan”/Disney-ABC did not respond to requests for comment.

POPULAR daytime duo Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa are going their separate ways, industry insiders have exclusively dished to The National ENQUIRER!

Sources said the powerhouse pair’s reign is over at TV’s “Live” because ambitious Ryan is ready to move on and leave co-host Kelly, 49, in the dust!

“Ryan simply wants to remain in Los Angeles permanently, and Kelly can’t give up her New York roots,” an insider snitched. “It’s perfectly amicable. They just want different things!”

Since Ryan joined the show in 2017, he’s been bouncing between the coasts. Though the 45-yearold keeps an apartment in New York City, he flies back to L.A. every weekend to be with fiancée Shayna Taylor, 28, and deal with other work obligations.

Since the coronavirus outbreak, Ryan has been doing the ABC show remotely from his fabulous $36.5 million Beverly Hills mansion, and insiders said he would like nothing more than to continue to do so from the West Coast — but he realizes Kelly isn’t likely to budge from the Big Apple! Kelly shares a $27 million NYC townhouse with husband Mark Consuelos and 17-year-old son Joaquin, and their oldest kids, Michael, 22, and Lola, 18, also live on the East Coast.

“Ryan not only thinks the show can be done from L.A. but that it would be better,” a source said. “But she isn’t moving, and he respects her decision.”

Spilled another source,

“His television production company is in L.A. He hosts ‘American Idol’ from there, and his contract has been reported at being worth more than $10 million. He’s also got several TV series and specials in the works there, and all of them require his attention.” What’s more, insiders said the relentless schedule and cross-country trips are wearing the notorious workaholic down!

“He works round-theclock, even when he’s flying! But he’s exhausted and wants to base himself permanently in L.A.,”

said a tipster.

According to sources, spending more than a month in L.A. during the quarantine with Shayna has made him realize he wants to settle down in one place — even if it means giving up “Live.”

“Ryan and Shayna have grown very comfortable in their beautiful home and can see they have a happy future in Los Angeles,” an insider spilled. “He’s got more than enough projects there to keep him all over the tube without flying back to

New York every week.” Sources said Kelly will be sad to see Ryan go, but the co-hosts know the show will continue to thrive without him!

“He’s still crazy about Kelly, and that will never change,” the source said. “But he’s been watching her and hubby Mark Consuelos broadcasting from their home in New York, and he thinks they’d do just fine without him!”
