NEW dad Anderson Cooper is raising his newborn son with ex-boyfriend Ben Maisani, and pals are seeing wedding bells in their future!
Sources exclusively revealed how the CNN anchor, 52, decided to co-parent with the French nightclub owner, 47, before the April 27th birth of his son, Wyatt Morgan — and even after Anderson broke up with Ben, but still continued to live together in the newshound’s upscale New York pad.
Now Ben is already a big part of the baby’s life, sources said.
“As time grew close before Wyatt’s birth the boys realized they wanted to share parenting responsibilities,” an insider snitched.
“Ben’s my family and I want him to be Wyatt’s family as well,” Cooper said.
Ben is even cutting back on the hours he spends attending to the business of his popular Manhattan club — so he can spend more time at home with Anderson and the baby!
“They are in this together and many of their pals think the baby will bring them back together. No one would be surprised if they said they changed their minds and got married!” tattled a source.
The National ENQUIRER has also learned Anderson is leaning on his good pal
Andy Cohen to help with new parenting duties.
“Andy became a father with the help of a surrogate last year and was the inspiration behind Anderson’s decision to become a dad,” a source spilled.
“Andy was one of the few people Anderson told about his own plans to have a child via surrogate.”
The only other people he confided in were his close pals Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker, sources said.
Ben was by Anderson’s side when he took their son home and when he revealed the inspiration behind Wyatt’s name.
“He is named after my father, who died when I was ten. I hope I can be as good a dad as he was,” Anderson shared on Instagram.
The baby’s middle name, Morgan, is a family name on his late mom Gloria Vanderbilt’s side, he added. “At the moment, Anderson and Ben are over the moon with being parents and their baby boy,” dished the insider. Insiders added that after Anderson lost his father, mother and brother, he is thrilled to finally start a family — and it’s only Ben who’s missing to complete it.
