ESCAPE GOATS!

HUNDREDS MADE A GRAZING GETAWAY

-

YOU’VE goat to be kidding me! About 200 goats escaped their enclosure in California and hoofed it to an east San Jose neighborhood, where they munched on flowers and nibbled on hedges!

The adorable stampede was caught on camera as the four-legged renegades ran roughshod through the streets.

The animals are regularly brought to the area to clear hillside brush as part of fire prevention — but their impromptu snacking session was not on the menu. Resident Terry Roelands, who uses the critters to maintain his property, said one of the goats managed to disable an electric fence while chowing down on some flowers — then the whole herd made a break for it. “When I got back from the store all the goats had broken through the fence and were wreaking havoc on our street,” explained Terry’s son, Zach, who called the jailbreak “pure chaos.”

The wayward bunch was rounded up quickly by a rancher, but left a trail of destruction — and amused locals — in their wake.

And that’s how these hungry troublemakers trotted onto this week’s Odd List!
