Two months after being closed by the coronavirus pandemic, The Open Hearth in Taylors was allowed to reopen in May with a reduced capacity and six feet of space between patrons.
“Instead of using scary, yellow tape or roping off the empty tables, I thought, ‘We’re going to make this restaurant look full,' explained Paula Starr Melehes, who owns the eatery with her husband, Jimmy.
