HENRY SETTLED 2012 CASE WITH MINOR
LATE actor Dennis Hopper’s son is ducking a $440,000 payment to a woman he was accused of sexually assaulting when she was just 15!
Henry Hopper allegedly groomed Naomi Larbi Haltiner over the internet and invited her to his home, where he plied the teen with drugs and alcohol, according to a suit filed by her mother in 2012. The suit also claimed then 21-year-old Henry “engaged in sexually offensive conduct,” including intercourse and forced oral sex, with Naomi at his Venice, Calif., home and “repeatedly [took] advantage of her youth and vulnerability.” Naomi “suffered from substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, ideation and severe mental pain” as a result, according to the suit.
Although Henry denied raping Naomi and any wrongdoing, he agreed to a $700,000 settlement in 2013 and plunked down a lump sum of $400,000. He also agreed to fork over half of any earned income in excess of $42,500 a year until the $300,000 balance was paid off.
The aspiring actor, 29, is thought to receive thousands of dollars each year from the
$40 million estate of his father — famed for his roles in “Easy Rider,” “Rebel Without a Cause” and
“Apocalypse Now,” before his death at age 74 in 2010. But Henry hasn’t coughed up a cent since April 30, 2014, according to Naomi, who’s now an international model and writer based in Switzerland.
She filed a breach of contract lawsuit in 2018, claiming Henry’s failure to pay up “has caused incredible frustration and anguish on my behalf.” According to official documents, Naomi also claimed that going back to court meant she had to “relive painful memories, further harming my mental health.”
In December 2019, a Los Angeles court clerk awarded Naomi a default judgment for the outstanding $300,000 and an additional $140,243 in interest and fees.
Neither Henry nor his representatives responded to The National ENQUIRER’s requests for comment. “Naomi tried to reach Henry personally before filing to see if they could meet in person and try to work it out,” revealed a source. “But he went totally MIA. She had no choice but to file.”
