STREET HEROES RUSH TO RESCUE!

MOM’S CRIES SPUR NEIGHBORS AFTER DRAMATIC SUV CRASH

-

IN A Superman-like feat, a group of everyday heroes flipped over a wrecked SUV on a Chicago street and rescued the family trapped inside! Two adults and a toddler were in the vehicle on June 7 when a van ran a red light in the Lawndale neighborhood and

T-boned the SUV, according to police. Dramatic surveillance video showed the SUV barrel over onto its roof — and about a dozen

Good Samaritans, including teenagers and adults, rushing to the scene.

Using brute strength and their bare hands, the group worked together to get the vehicle upright.

“My legs were shaking so bad,” said one of the helpers, local teen Isaac Terrazas. “I was scared for them.

“So we decided to flip it over. And we made sure no one would get crushed.” After righting the vehicle, the group heard a woman inside crying out for her baby, and they grabbed bats and hammers to smash the windows before rescuers arrived.

The two adults and the child pulled to safety were reportedly in good condition.

“We’re all just humans, and we all helped,” said Isaac. “That little act shows we can come together and do something.”
