AMAN from New York is looking forward to giving birth to his second child! Transgender dude Kayden Coleman, 33, first got pregnant in 2013 while transitioning from female.
At the time, he’d stopped taking female hormone blockers before undergoing a mastectomy and gave birth to daughter Azaelia in 2014.
After the breast operation, he decided against costly genital reconstruction surgery and kept his female reproductive organs. And in January he discovered he was seven weeks pregnant with his boyfriend, Dominique!
“I do enjoy parts of being pregnant, like the fact it makes my beard thicker,” said Kayden, an LGBT care worker.
“But it’s not obvious that I’m carrying a child. People just assume it’s a beer belly.”
During his first pregnancy, Kayden shared his journey as a pregnant trans-man online and faced a backlash.
"When Azaelia was born, a lot of people said she should be taken away from me and called me a monster,” he recalled.
Despite the criticism, Kayden said: “I can’t wait to meet my second baby, and Azaelia is so excited about having a little brother or sister.”
