DREW’S TALK SHOW TERROR: HAVING NO LIVE AUDIENCE!-
PANDEMIC PUTS PRESSURE ON ACTRESS TURNED HOST
DREW BARRYMORE’S longanticipated CBS talk show is in danger of being killed by the coronavirus before it ever airs!
Sources revealed the actress, 45, is freaking over doing interviews without her adoring fans smiling from their seats.
“Drew went into this with high hopes until the Hollywood shutdown banished live audiences from all the talk shows,” dished an insider.
“Test shows proved
Drew’s big secret weapon were her heart-to-heart interactions with her studio audience, who were die-hard fans! The interactions made for some really great TV moments — but it’s now looking like she’ll have no audience when she starts filming her real shows on Aug. 1, thanks to COVID-19 guidelines.”
A spokesperson for “The Drew Barrymore Show” said the show “is premiering this fall as scheduled.” But sources claimed the safety move has forced Drew to rethink doing the gig at all. Without fans on hand to boost her confidence, “Drew’s afraid her interviews will be lame. She knows she doesn’t have the same gift of gab that Ellen DeGeneres and Kelly Clarkson are known for, and is afraid she’ll come off looking boring!” Insiders added while Drew is getting coaching on her interviewing skills, “Nobody knows what this will look, sound or feel like without a studio audience!”
