BROTHERS’ BITTER FEUD GOES BACK TO DIANA!
PRINCE WILLIAM made a bold bid to make peace with his rebel brother, Prince Harry, but it exploded into a battle royal that may never be mended, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
“Everyone is blaming
Harry’s diva wife, Meghan, for the royals’ broken bond — and she certainly hasn’t helped! But the rift started way before she came on the scene and goes much deeper than anyone ever knew,” a high-level courtier revealed exclusively.
“The truth is Harry hates William. Years of living in his brother’s shadow have left Harry tormented by one all-consuming belief: ‘Nobody loves me.’
“They were raised to be the closest of brothers, but Harry’s painfully aware who was the favorite.
“William was born to be king while Harry believes he was only brought into the world to be the royal ‘spare’ — to step in to secure the future of the monarchy if something happened to William.” Tragically, the red-haired royal “believes he was never truly wanted,” according to another source close to the family. “He knows his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, were already in a rapidly unraveling marriage when he was conceived.”
Things only got worse after William married Kate and had three kids, the sources said. Harry fell to sixth in the line of succession for the crown and “basically felt he was not needed anymore.”
Harry was almost 30 and struggling to find his place in life when he met Meghan, dished the courtier.
“He felt she loved him for
HIM, not his royal position,” the courtier said. “He was so excited to tell William he had finally found true love — but his brother threw cold water on his joy by fearing the romance was moving too fast. “That was the last straw for Harry — and they stopped speaking. The rift simmered for almost three years until William tried to make peace during the coronavirus pandemic.
“He urged Harry to forget about a new life in the Hollywood spotlight that Meghan craves and come home. But years of Harry’s pent-up anger and frustration simply exploded. I’m told he yelled at William, ‘You were always the golden boy. Mum loved you more than me!’
“He accused William of siding with senior royals to strip him and Meghan of their titles after they quit royal duties. Finally, he hissed, ‘Drop dead! You don’t care what happens to me!’
“It was such a slap in the
face to William, we can’t see the brothers ever getting back to the way they were.”
A rep for William declined to comment, while Harry did not respond to a request for comment.
Now the palace is bracing for Harry, 35, to get revenge in a new book, “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family,” due out next month. He and Meghan, 38, reportedly cooperated with the authors, and insiders fear William, 38, will be painted as the bad guy.
“This could be the most damaging thing to the royal family in decades,” said the source.
“But Harry clearly doesn’t care. He feels unappreciated and insists only Meghan understands his pain. With his wife and their son, Archie, he says he’s finally got the REAL family he’s always wanted. He doesn’t need or want his old life. The royals and their rules are dead to him!”
