HUNKY Chris Evans whines playing superhero Captain America has wrecked his chances for romance! “Chris doesn’t want to be an ingrate,” spilled a pal. “He’s made tens of millions being Captain America, and it’s elevated him as an actor. But at the same time, he says, Captain America killed his love life!” His on-off relationship with former “SNL” cast member Jenny Slate fizzled in 2018. Though she praised Chris, who did not respond to The National ENQUIRER’s request for comment, in a recent interview, she also described him as “really vulnerable” — and the source said that’s a problem for the 39-year-old actor.
“He thought he’d be married and have kids by now,” the pal said. “But the whole Captain America phenomenon has left him less trusting about people he meets and what their motivations may be. It’s hard for him to put his heart out there.”
