TROUBLED Playboy

Playmate Ashley Mattingly used a single gunshot to end her short and tragic life. The 33-year-old blond bombshell fired a bullet into her mouth on April 15, the Travis County, Texas, Medical Examiner revealed in an autopsy report.

A toxicology report showed she had benzodiazepines and opioids in her system.

Ashley was found at her home after a friend asked for a wellness check. When police arrived they found her body alongside a note the coroner described as “depressed writings suggestive of suicide.” Just two days earlier, Ashley posted a chilling Instagram message for her fans, saying, “I took bad advice and drank too much which I vomited a lot of blood. Please slow down on the drinking!”

She was just 24 when she earned the title of Playboy’s Miss March in 2011, and almost immediately went into a downward spiral and a prolonged battle with alcohol. She was charged with DUI in 2016 after allegedly hitting four parked cars while steering her golf cart in Laguna Beach, Calif. “We will forever cherish her memories and know that her joy is eternally sealed,” said Ashley’s family in a statement.
