CHRISTINA RICCI’s domestic battery call was just round one in what promises to be a bitter divorce brawl with hubby James Heerdegen! The former “Addams Family” star, 40, secured an emergency protective order against James after cops were called to the couple’s Woodland Hills, Calif., home on June 25 after he allegedly spit at her!
Now Christina has filed for divorce and sole custody of their five-year-old son, Freddie! “Christina is ready for a fight and has come out swinging,” an insider dished. “She’s fired the first shot, and she’s not about to back down!”
Insiders said the actress has told pals she intends to make James dig deep into his pockets to pay for her suffering — and is compiling a dossier on his behavior.
“And you can expect James to do the same!” the source dished.
The battling spouses met on the set of her short-lived 2011 TV series,
“Pan Am,” and started dating the following year.
The explosive bust-up stunned fans after Christina tweeted the Father’s Day card Freddie made for James, saying: “We (heart) you, Daddy! @jamesheerdegen.”
But the protective order prohibits Christina and James, a camera operator, from communicating with each other.
In the divorce documents, Christina cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, but insiders said the gloves will come off in court!
“There’s no backing down in Christina,” a source said. “She’s ditched her wedding ring, and she’s ready to go to battle for her son!”
