CHINA’S SECRET WAR ON AMERICA
OUT TO STEAL COVID VACCINE, PLANTING SPIES IN COLLEGES AND CONSULATES
IN THE wake of explosive claims China deliberately engineered the coronavirus as a bioweapon to destroy America and a provocative move to illegally seize the strategic South China Sea, experts warned Beijing’s military leaders are now waging a secret war to bring our nation to its knees — and establish their country as the world’s superpower! In an explosive yearlong investigation, The National ENQUIRER has learned nearly 8,000 Communist Party soldiers — most posing as students — are part of an elaborate spy network directed to infiltrate our top universities and research centers, recruit traitorous Americans and steal U.S. intellectual property over the last 20 years!
What’s more, according to the U.S. government, visa holders in more than two dozen cities are helping officials from China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) engage in espionage to bring down America’s economy and military might.
That bombshell dropped after two Chinese military assets at the Chinese Consulate General in Houston were busted for trying to steal COVID-19 vaccine research. “The individuals charged there are a microcosm, we believe, of a broader network of individuals in more than 25 cities,” a senior Department of Justice official said on
July 24.
“That network is supported through the consulates here. Consulates have been giving individuals in that network guidance on how to evade and obstruct our investigation.” The Chinese consulates in San Francisco and New York City are two major spy hubs, according to U.S. intelligence officials.
Dr. Jim Garrow, an expert on Chinese spy tactics, explained the Communist regime forces students into the spy game and keeps an iron fist on their parents back home. He told The ENQUIRER: “If students want a visa to study in America, they’re told, ‘Here is your assignment, and here is the person you will meet with when you get there.’ Their handlers are preassigned. “Meanwhile, a spy chief appointed by the Chinese government runs the department that ‘takes
care’ of families while their kids are in America.”
Other secret agents are dispatched by the PLA.
Juan Tang, a researcher at the University of California, Davis, and three other scientists living in the U.S. were indicted for fraud when they allegedly lied about their PLA ties on their visa applications.
Tang, 37, worked in the Department of Radiation
Oncology in a program funded by an affiliate of China’s Ministry of Education. She sought refuge at the Chinese consulate in San Francisco after being interrogated by the FBI on June 20.
The Justice Department accused the consulate of harboring a known fugitive — before she was arrested on July 24.
The three other accused spies, including 38-year-old Stanford University researcher Chen Song, operated in California and Indiana. If convicted, they face up to ten years behind bars and a fine of $250,000.
The arrests come as the
U.S. government ordered the shutdown of Beijing’s consulate in Houston, which was accused of running a spy network tasked with stealing information from a Texas research institution.
As the U.S. ordered China to cease all operations at the facility, video revealed its workers burning documents in the consulate’s courtyard. “The espionage and influence activities run out of a consulate can rise, ultimately, to a level that threatens our national security,” the DOJ official said. As part of its evil scheme, China looks for easy marks willing to betray our nation for cash, Dr. Garrow said. In January, federal agents arrested Dr. Charles Lieber, chairman of the Harvard University Chemistry Department, for lying to the FBI about money he earned working at China’s Wuhan University of Technology.
He’s accused of failing to disclose receiving $1.5 million to set up a lab at WUT, along with a monthly $50,000 salary and up to $158,000 in personal and living expenses. At the same time, he received at least $15 million in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health! Dr. Lieber, who is free on $1 million bail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of lying to federal agents and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
His lawyer, Marc
Mukasey, said in an email to a Boston TV station: “The government has this wrong,” and “Charlie’s good name will be restored.” The U.S. government is also cracking down on
China’s program to steal our intellectual property.
The DOJ on July 21 indicted two hackers in Beijing who, they said, tried to steal coronavirus vaccine research from Western companies in 11 nations. The indictment charges the men, Li Xiaoyu and Dong Jiazhi, were helped by China’s Ministry of State Security!
As The ENQUIRER has reported, experts charged coronavirus is a biological weapon created by China at the government-operated Institute of Virology in Wuhan. Experts believe the pandemic is designed to distract America as China prepares to invade the island nation of Taiwan — which it has long considered a wayward province — and regain control of the South China Sea while
consolidating its global power.
But not everything is being done in the shadows, experts said.
China just closed a deal to sell its most advanced anti-tank missile system to Algeria, which intelligence sources see as a threat to America’s ally Israel, stability in the Middle East and Uncle Sam’s strategic interests.
On the other side of the globe, Beijing is illegally seizing control of the vital South China Sea,
U.S. intelligence sources claimed. The nation insists the island-dotted sea, which is a global trade route for about $3.7 trillion worth of business, is part of its territory. The country’s expansionist military leaders have seized islands, built fortifications and dared America to respond. The U.S. sent the aircraft carriers USS Reagan and Nimitz into the waterway to deliver a clear message — China’s actions are out of bounds and America will not let our allies in the area be bullied. Tensions are escalating. As both China and the
U.S. brace for a shooting war, Secretary of State
Mike Pompeo said: “We are setting out clear expectations for how the Chinese Communist Party is going to behave. And when they don’t, we’re going to take actions that protect the American people, protect … our national security, and also protect our economy and jobs.”
The Chinese Embassy in D.C., which maintains the five Chinese consulates in the U.S., did not respond to The ENQUIRER’s request for comment.
