TRISHA & GARTH WARN FANS OF ‘SHOCK’ BIOPIC!
MUSHY lovebirds Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood plan to tell their story in a noholds-barred documentary, according to sources.
The country duo hopes to mimic the success of “Walk the Line,” the biopic about Johnny Cash and
June Carter’s fiery romance, insiders said, and they’ve been talking to producers and writers.
“Garth has a few confessions of his own to make and it’s time to come clean,” a source told The National ENQUIRER. “They’ll also discuss their weight battles and food binges and how they got back in shape with clips of Garth working out and Trisha whipping up some of her healthier meals.”
Garth, 58, and Trisha, 56, met in 1987 when they were both unknown artists and worked on the same track together. She was paid $10 for the gig, and Garth got nothing. Although they were both married to tothers at the time, they remained friends and reconnected after Garth divorced first wife Sandy Mahl, the mother of his three adult daughters.
The two started dating in 2002 and wed in
2005. In interviews, they’ve revealed they tour together, work together and spend almost all of their time with each other. “Garth swears every time he looks at Trisha, he wants to shout his love from the rooftops, and she feels the same way,” spilled an insider. “A lot of people ask them about their secret to a happy marriage, and this film is their answer.
“It hasn’t always been perfect and some of it will shock people, but they really feel they’re each other’s soulmate.
“Trisha wants people to know the moment she fell in love with Garth, and how hard she tried to resist because she didn’t want to hurt anybody, least of all his wife at the time. They waited years before becoming lovers, and it’s made them appreciate what they have.
“They also plan to record a new album together after Garth releases his studio album ‘Fun’ later this year, and the documentary will show them in the studio working on new music!”
