AMERICA’S COLLEGES INFESTED BY SPIES!

Enemy nations using top schools to steal vital secrets – and recruit moles

ROGUE nations are flooding American universities with billions of dollars — while at the same time dispatching spies disguised as students and researchers to steal our technology, health and defense secrets, a National ENQUIRER investigation has found.

Experts claim colleges have pocketed an estimated $14 billion from foreign governments over the past eight years and warn international spy missions range from swiping NASA’s rocket science secrets to scraping the personal data of almost every U.S. citizen! Spy-catching efforts have ramped up with the arrests of more than a dozen foreign agents from China and

Russia, according to Justice Department documents.

Many of those moles entered the U.S. on student visas and top colleges have been warned to conduct extensive background checks before blindly accepting hefty donations from foreign entities.

The Department of Education is now cracking down on

12 top colleges, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, Yale and Stanford, for failing to disclose large donations as required by law, Ryan Mauro, a national security analyst for the Clarion Project, told The ENQUIRER.

“Since the investigation began, schools have belatedly declared billions and billions of dollars,” said Ryan, whose group recently released an explosive documentary about the scandal, titled “Covert Ca$h.”

“But some haven’t answered why they failed to follow the law in the first place or what the money is used for. And the donations are still coming in. “This could make these institutions an active partner in the spy operations!”

As The ENQUIRER reported in August, nearly 8,000 communist party soldiers from China’s People’s Liberation Army — most posing as students — are thought to be part of an elaborate spy network directed to infiltrate top university and research centers and steal U.S. intellectual property. Dr. Jim Garrow, an expert on Chinese and Russian spy tactics, told The ENQUIRER that with MIT receiving $113 million over eight years, “you have to wonder, what does Russia get back in return?” He added: “The universities must be aware they are being used by foreign governments to bring in spies!”

According to Ryan, colleges have pocketed $14 billion from foreign governments, including China, Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, United Arab Emirates and others, over the past eight years.

As The ENQUIRER has reported, Dr. Garrow said students from China and Russia are forced into spying in exchange for their U.S. visas and typically report to “handlers” after they arrive. Spy masters back home then monitor their families to ensure obedience.

The students and other agents are tasked with gathering information and recruiting hapless American professors and researchers — preferably those who have top secret contracts with the government, he said.

The Russian Embassy admitted relations with the U.S. are “already difficult”

and told The ENQUIRER:

“We need to develop humanitarian ties.”

In 2019, reps from U.S. intelligence agencies met with American research universities to warn about the growing national security threat and to encourage them to monitor foreign students. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently threatened to shut down and expel the Confucius Institute, a cultural center funded by the Chinese government, claiming it was working to recruit “spies and collaborators” at colleges.

In a follow-up on Sept. 8, Homeland Security revoked the visas for more than

1,000 Chinese students and researchers under a presidential decree because they were deemed to be security risks due to their links to the military!

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian blasted the move, calling it “outright political persecution and racial discrimination.” He added: “It seriously violates the human rights of these Chinese students. The U.S. side should immediately stop its unreasonable restrictions.”

But FBI director

Christopher Wray warned: “The Chinese intelligence services strategically use every tool at their disposal to systematically steal information and intellectual property.”
