GWEN & BLAKE’S NUCLEAR FALLOUT LAYS WASTE TO WEDDING PLANS
SINGING sweethearts Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have called off their spring wedding plans, sources said — after they were caught on camera in a vicious street fight!
Now insiders are wondering if they’ll ever make it to the altar!
“They’ve been fighting about everything since they got engaged,” dished a source. “All that tension finally exploded in a brutal screaming match!”
The ruckus erupted over groomzilla Blake’s feelings that pop diva Gwen had given him little support after he’d spent endless hours and millions of dollars planning their over-thetop nuptials, insiders said. “They decided to have the ceremony at Blake’s sprawling Oklahoma ranch, and he planned every detail to make sure he gave Gwen a dream wedding!” a source snitched. An insider added: “Blake even put a dance floor in the barn and ordered the staff to wear protective shoe coverings to keep it from getting a single scratch. “Then he started construction on a chapel on the grounds and hired a yacht to take the guests out on their lake for a romantic wedding cruise.”
After all that, the Hollaback Girl singer, 51, suggested they simply elope, according to sources, and country stud Blake, 44, blew his stack! “Blake couldn’t believe his ears!” the insider tattled.
“After all the time and money that he’d spent to make sure their wedding would be absolutely perfect, Gwen acted like they’d be better off not doing it at all!”
Even worse, sources claimed Blake was already bristling because Gwen seemed more focused on jump-starting her career than their wedding plans!
“Gwen spent months trying to set up a series of duets with hunky singers like Tyga, The Weeknd and Harry Styles. When she told Blake about it, he hit the roof!” the source said. “Blake knows better than anybody how flirty Gwen gets with other musicians. He’d spent all summer making plans for their special day and when he found out she was using the same time to plan duets with some of music’s leading men — he lost it.”
The screaming match, which flared outside a recording studio, also dredged up many of their previous conflicts, according to an insider.
“They fought about whether they’d spend the bulk of their time in Oklahoma or closer to Gwen’s work and family in California at their new mansion in Encino,” a source said. “Blake complained about the tight leash Gwen’s put on his socializing with his Nashville buddies and she snapped back that she resented putting her career on hold to build a new life with him!”
When the two — who have dated for five years — finally calmed down, they decided to put wedding plans on hold until they settle their differences, said the source.
Later Blake realized that he may have been a little too rough on Gwen and tried to apologize, but she was hearing none of it and insiders said she was even reconsidering their romance.
“After a fight like that, no one is sure if they’ll ever make it to the altar!” the source said.
