3 DEAD IN GUN STORE’S WILD WEST SHOOT-OUT
ALOUISIANA gun-store patron shopping for ammo reportedly “flipped out” and shot to death a clerk and a customer — before dying in the parking lot in a hail of bullets from seven armed and furious employees!
The frantic shoot-out at New Orleans’ Jefferson Gun Outlet also left two employees injured and taken to the hospital. Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto III said Joshua Jamal Williams, 27, went wild after he was told to leave his loaded firearm in his car, and gunned down store clerk Noah Fischbach, 47, and 59-year-old customer Veronica Billiot. “I believe, without a doubt, he was looking to shoot more people until he ran out of bullets,” said Lopinto. Investigators said Williams fired all 32 rounds in his possession, and they recovered nearly 100 shell casings — along with ten guns, three of which belonged to the perp. Gun-store employees had wielded the other seven, according to the sheriff’s office. A woman who identified herself as Williams’ aunt said Joshua had severe anger-management issues. The man’s brother, who had accompanied Williams to the store to buy ammo, told Lopinto he didn’t know what had triggered his sib. “Basically, he said his brother flipped out,” said the sheriff. As of press time, no charges had been filed against any of the shooters.
