EL CHAPO WIFE’S PRISON PLIGHT: CAN’T MAKE DEAL OR SHE’LL DIE!
KILLER kingpin El Chapo’s busted beauty queen bride will be marked for death behind bars, sources exclusively spilled to The National ENQUIRER! If Emma Coronel Aispuro snitches to the feds about the bloodthirsty Mexican Sinaloa drug cartel long run by her caged hubby, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, tipsters told The ENQUIRER she’ll put a big fat bull’s-eye on her back! “That’s a death sentence,” said Peter Gleason, a former New York police officer and current criminal defense attorney. “She would be ratting on some very dangerous people, and it would make her an immediate target!”
Federal authorities busted Coronel — known as “La Reinita,” or “The Little Queen” — at Dulles International Airport in Virginia on Feb. 22, and charged her with participation in the distribution of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana for importation into the U.S. According to the federal complaint, Coronel, 31, was intimately involved in her husband’s multibillion-dollar drug-running racket and acted as his criminal agent while he was on the lam!
Even more damning, an informant said the mother of El Chapo’s two young daughters helped mastermind her spouse’s daring 2015 tunnel escape from a Mexican prison and also paid him $100,000 for another failed bust-out a year later!
“They are going to put the heat on her to spill more details on other top operatives in the cartel and take them down, too!” Gleason added.
“If she spills, it will be open season on her on the inside!” If California-born Coronel flips on her former amigos, she would certainly be placed in isolation — to keep her alive, according to another criminal justice expert.
“The feds will want to protect their star informant, and the defense will want to protect their client from brutal reprisals,” said renowned former New York prosecutor Gerald Allen.
“One thing is for sure — it won’t be pleasant for her.
She will spend 23 of 24 hours in a small, dark cell, but the alternative is far worse.”
Now 63, El Chapo — who claimed to have personally killed 2,000 to 3,000 people — has been cooling his heels in a Colorado Supermax prison since being sentenced to life plus 30 years in 2019. Meanwhile, his wife was ordered held without bail. If convicted, she could face more than ten years behind bars.
