HOOFER Derek Hough’s longtime love, Hayley Erbert, has told the “Dancing with the Stars” legend to step up and propose — or their partnership is over, insiders squealed.
Sources told The National ENQUIRER fellow dancer Hayley, 26, has run out of patience with Derek’s endless excuses for not waltzing her to the altar! “First, he didn’t want to steal his sister Julianne’s thunder when she got
married to Brooks Laich in 2017,” an insider dished. “Then when Brooks and Julianne started having trouble in their marriage and announced they were getting divorced, he worried the same thing could happen to them! “Then came COVID, and the pandemic gave him another reason to wait.”
But sources said after six years of dating, and inperson weddings making a comeback, Hayley has told Derek, 36, she’s not going to wait much longer!
Still, Derek isn’t raring to mambo into marriage, according to sources.
“He doesn’t believe in divorce and doesn’t want to become another Hollywood statistic!” the tipster snitched. While Hough’s rep denied our story, insiders added determined Derek is focused on his career and doesn’t want to derail it by immersing himself in wedding plans! “Derek claims he’s busy creating a new TV dance show, and he doesn’t want to be distracted,” the source said. “He absolutely does want to have a wife and kids, but the timing is just not right. But if he doesn’t act quickly, his partner may step out of his life — forever!”
