Health crisis forced singer to postpone Vegas comeback
OVERWORKED, gaunt and ailing Celine Dion has been planning her own funeral, according to insiders, as a medical expert fears the skeletal superstar may be suffering from a life-threatening disease!
The diva recently postponed her Las Vegas residency due to “severe and persistent muscle spasms,” which a top doctor believes could be the result of nerve damage caused by a serious autoimmune disease — like multiple sclerosis!
As The National ENQUIRER has reported, tipsters claimed the scary-skinny songbird, who’s 5-foot-7, shriveled to 95 pounds on a terrible diet while prepping for her Sin City comeback. Although an eating disorder could cause muscle spasms, Florida-based Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not treated Celine, suspects that’s not her problem.
“She seems to have extreme difficulty swallowing, which is caused by nerve damage. The weight loss could be the result of nerve damage,” he told The ENQUIRER.
“Her symptoms are not due just to low potassium, calcium or salt. If it were, it could be corrected at least temporarily by replacing these minerals. “She might have a serious disease affecting her eyes, hearing, swallowing, muscles, weight and so forth.
“It could be an autoimmune disease, such as multiple sclerosis or any other nerve damage disease. She most likely has a systemic disease that is damaging nerves throughout her body.”
Spilled the insider, “Celine’s drastic weight loss has been a source of concern. She’s been working herself to the bone for months, rehearsing for her return to the stage, but her body couldn’t take it.”
The ENQUIRER has already detailed how 53-year-old Celine’s been running herself ragged since her longtime manager and husband, René Angélil, passed in 2016 at 73. “She’s been pining for René, but she signed on to do the residency because she missed performing in front of an audience,” said the
insider.
“But the rehearsals sapped all her strength and she couldn’t eat.
“She’s totally exhausted, mentally drained and anxiety ridden. She’s talking like she fears the end is near!” Sources tattled the singer’s only source of comfort, besides her sons, René-Charles, 20, and 11-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, is knowing she’ll be reunited with René.
“Celine’s been a constant visitor to René’s gravesite in Montreal and has reserved a plot for herself right beside him,” dished the insider.
“She knows exactly what she wants for her funeral. It will be simple and elegant with lots of red and pink roses.
“People think she’s being overdramatic and just needs to rest and take better care of herself, but it’s not as simple as that.”
