FGL BAR STOMPS COUNTRY DUO
This is how they roll – namesakes don’t drop in!
THE bar owned by country heavyweights Florida Georgia Line is a huge hit in Nashville — except with the joint’s own disgruntled staff! Crowds pack into the FGL House, which spans three floors and a basement just off Nashville’s famed Broadway strip. But employees there say the throng doesn’t often include the duo, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley.
The stars “aren’t involved in the restaurant besides having their name on it,” reveals a waiter.
When they do make an appearance, their diva behavior causes chaos.
One worker says the two show up randomly with some of their musician pals, block off an entire floor and then are tightfisted with their tips. “They’re insanely cheap,” blasts the worker. “They give a $20 tip on a check for the entire night. That’s nothing compared to what a bartender could make working the normal floor.”
Grouses another employee: “They can afford to treat people right.”
Meanwhile, another insider believes Tyler and Brian are “not getting along too well.”
The FGL House opened in 2017, joining a number of celebrity-owned or sponsored eateries in Nashville, including Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky
Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red and Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa.
The FGL House saw a little trouble at the end of January when an apparently intoxicated 23-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting another customer. The woman resisted arrest and bit the police officers, according to cops.
A little mayhem hasn’t kept lines of people waiting to get in from stretching around the block, but fans apparently aren’t likely to catch a glimpse of the owners.
Even when the pandemic shut down their entire 2021 tour, sightings were scarce. “In the last six months,” says a worker, “I’ve seen them here twice.”
