WHO HATES WHO IN TV NEWS!
TV’S most recognizable news stars are making headlines themselves with their ugly feuds, lawsuits, rogue behavior and bitchy comments. Here are some of the nastiest battles:
KEITH OLBERMANN VS. RACHEL MADDOW
POT-STIRRER Olbermann believes he’s been stabbed in the back by his protégé Rachel after he crawled back to MSNBC a few weeks ago hoping to catch a break — and was
snubbed. “Rachel would rather
discover a new, young fresh face to take over her primetime slot and couldn’t
get behind Keith coming back,” dishes a source. “But Keith has a long memory. If you hurt him, he will find a way to destroy you. He is waiting for the day Rachel needs his help and will do
nothing.”
HODA KOTB VS. SAVANNAH GUTHRIE
between “Today” hosts
Savannah and Hoda!
Hoda recently quit her radio show, and the buzz is her slot on NBC’s morning gabfest will be the next to go. Although
Hoda and Savannah play nice for the camera, insiders claim behind the scenes Hoda doesn’t talk to her controlling co-host. In fact, she’s said to be counting the days until she leaves the show to become a full-time mom. “Hoda tried very hard to be friends with Savannah,” says a source. “But Savannah would rather
hang out with Jenna Bush.”
DON LEMON, JAKE TAPPER AND CNN VS. CHRIS CUOMO
CNN descended into a cesspool of finger-pointing when recently fired Cuomo struck back with a $125 million lawsuit against the network. He is also suspected of leaking news network honcho Jeff Zucker was having a fling with executive vice president
Allison Gollust! The scandal led to Zucker’s resignation. Gollust left, too.
Now Chris and former BFF anchor Lemon are blasting each other for breaching journalistic standards. Chris — who was fired for advising his then governor brother,
Andrew — also claims Tapper inappropriately advised a politician. Chris’ ongoing lawsuit accuses Zucker and Gollust of “blatant misconduct” and Lemon and Tapper of
“major transgressions.”
